From large bags of dog food to small pet treats, Petshop Science is leveraging Sixty60’s delivery expertise to ensure prompt and reliable service for busy pet parents. Customers can choose from over 3,500 products from more than 80 trusted brands available on the Sixty60 platform, sourced directly from nearby Petshop Science stores. Ordering is made easy through the Sixty60 app or e-commerce site, offering a seamless shopping experience across various devices.
Established in 2021, Petshop Science entered South Africa’s thriving pet market and quickly emerged as a key player with 143 stores spread across eight provinces. The company experienced a significant sales surge of 56.9% in the 26-week period ending December 29, 2024, positioning itself for further growth with the collaboration with Sixty60.
Trevor Paxton, General Manager of Petshop Science, emphasized the brand’s dedication to delivering value through premium pet products and veterinary-approved essentials. The partnership with Sixty60 represents a strategic move to elevate customer convenience by bringing quality pet supplies directly to their doorsteps.
Rolling out initially in select areas in Cape Town, Gauteng, and the Eastern Cape, Petshop Science’s same-day delivery service via Sixty60’s mobile app is set for a national expansion by the end of July 2025. Delivery fees vary based on order size, ranging from R35 to R50, while Xtra Savings Plus subscribers can enjoy free delivery for orders exceeding R350. Additionally, as a special launch promotion, customers receive R50 back on their first five orders, credited to their Sixty60 wallet.
